Jamie and Johnny

Our Story

Jamie and Johnny’s story started like any other - with rejection.

Johnny asked his friend Lucas to set him up with his girlfriend’s sorority sister, Jamie. After a few days, Lucas came back with an answer: “she said no”. When asked why she said no, he responded with, “idk dude”.

As a few months passed, Johnny remained curious, confident and persistent. An “opportunity” arose for a part time sales associate at Allen’s pop-up store.

“Hmmm, who could fill this role?” Johnny thought to himself. He continued to ponder, “Why not ask that random girl Jamie who recently followed me on Instagram?”

And so he did. Johnny asked Lucas for her number directly this time. He presented the option of a phone call or coffee to Jamie Jo, but ultimately added a little extra push for coffee. Jamie suggested they meet on Fairfax - around the corner from the apartment she was moving into that day. On a sunny Sunday afternoon, they walked up and down Fairfax, coffee shop to coffee shop, only to discover that they’re all closed on Sundays at 5pm.

To Johnny’s surprise, Jamie said, “should we just get a drink?”. Taken aback, yet brimming with excitement, Johnny said “I’m down”. Off they went to Sweet Chick for a beer and a glass of wine. Jamie talked about Chapman, her enormous family, and much more while Johnny rejoiced in the comfort of this incredibly special new person he’d just met.

Over the next seven days, Johnny attended Jamie’s 26th birthday party and immediately asked to take her on a dinner date to Little Dom’s. They haven’t spent more than a week apart since.
